PAL and Mercedes-Benz celebrate Groundbreaking in Korea

Korea, 10 June 2013.

Pan Asia Logistics and Mercedes-Benz broke ground on the new Parts Logistics Centre for Mercedes-Benz in Korea.

The ground breaking ceremony in the morning of 10 June 2013 marked the commencement of the construction.

With a storage capacity of 35,000 line items, the new Parts Distribution Centre will be 3 times the size of the current warehouse.

Operation is planned to commence in March 2014.

With the new PDC, Mercedes-Benz Korea is expecting to shorten the delivery time and improve service quality.









PAL to build Warehouse for Mercedes-Benz in Korea

Korea 11th January 2013.

Pan Asia Logistics will build and operate the new Parts Logistics Centre for Mercedes-Benz in Korea. A final contract for the construction and management of the facility has been signed. The investment in land and building will be USD 50 Million in total.

It is the first 'built-to-suit' building contract awarded by Mercedes-Benz Korea and one of the first for Daimler worldwide.

The new Parts Centre will be located not far from Seoul City Centre to the southeast along a major highway. It will cater to the entire after market of Mercedes-Benz Korea, covering the whole vehicle range from passenger cars to commercial vehicles.

The total gross floor area will be 300,000 sq ft with 200,000 sq ft build in phase I and another 100,000 sq ft in phase II. The total land area is 820,000 sq ft. Construction will begin in the first quarter of 2013.

Operation is planned to commence in late March 2014.








PAL Groundbreaking in Tuas Singapore

Singapore 14th July 2012.

Pan Asia Logistics officially broke ground on another warehouse in Tuas Singapore on Saturday 14th of July, following a Taoist ceremony in the morning at 8 a.m. that marked the commencement of the construction.

The 480,000 sq ft warehouse with a land & building investment of S$ 100 million is designed with a 4-storey drive-up ramp that allows truck access to all warehouse levels for more efficiency and productivity. Several functional areas, a floor height of up to 16 meters, state-of-the-art interior equipment, and 40 % storage space with the ability to be air-conditioned will cater to many different storage requirements and will give maximum choice and maximum selection to our clients.

To be located in the western part of Singapore near the 2nd causeway to Malaysia, the new facility will be further equipped with:

    - ASRS mini load for spares
    - ASRS pallet system
    - Guided VNA pallet racking system
    - Selected racking
    - Selected shelving
    - Overhead cranes for heavy loads up to 25 tons in some areas
    - Max payload of up to 70 KN
    - Life load of max 100 KN

The last quarter of 2013 has been set as the target for completion of the building.








PAL breaks new Ground in PTP Malaysia

Malaysia, 17 June 2012

On Wednesday morning 7th of June 2012, Pan Asia Logistics officially broke ground on the new warehouse in Malaysia's Iskandar region.

The 408,000 sq ft building will be situated within the harbour district of the Port of Tanjong Pelepas (PTP), a 5 minute drive from the Tuas checkpoint, Singapore's 2nd causeway to Malaysia.

The 2 storey building, with a beautiful view to the ports pier, will then be the first and only ramp-up warehouse in the Iskandar region and the most iconic and sought after warehouse in PTP. Up to 240,000 sq ft of storage space can be air-conditioned and humidity controlled. The over 30m high facility is also going to be the single largest warehouse in PTP and the only one with a plot ratio of over 1.5 in the entire region.

With a Taoist ceremony, the go-ahead was given at 9 am. PAL management, management and people from the design and building contractor AceCorp, and future tenants attended the event.

Construction immediately started. 1,560 piles will have been lowered up to 36 m into the ground by end of July. The structure of the building will have taken shape in early July. Target for completion is September 2013.








Pan Asia Logistics Centre - Opening Ceremony

The Pan Asia Logistics Centre in Singapore was officially opened at 9.10am on Thursday, 19 May 2011.

The opening ceremony was undertaken by Fung Shui Master Chuan, Pan Asia's Managing Director, Christian Bischoff and Executive Director Susan Tan.

Mr Bischoff said: "This is a very happy occasion and i am extremely pleased to be able to open this great warehouse and office building almost exactly one year after groundbreaking. This is a major milestone in out short history. It's Pan Asia Logistics' first building and more and bigger ones are coming up.

On Saturday 21 May, Pan Asia Logistics Singapore relocated to the new premises at 21 Changi North Way, while the move of the warehouse business already commenced. The new Pan Asia Logisitics Centre consolidates PAL's Singapore headquarters and the East warehouse








Topping-Out!

Things are progressing slightly ahead of time and we can proudly report the completion of an important construction phase. The roof is finished!

At 9:30 in the morning, the last bit of cement was added on the rooftop of the Pan Asia Logistics flag ship building in Changi North. Wet works are completed.

In a symbolic act, the cement was brought into position with shovels by Pan Asia's Managing Director Christian Bischoff, Executive Director Susan Tan, Logistics Director Daniel Garcia, Pan Asia's GM in Singapore Joachim Hirt and Corporate Affairs Manager Catherine Thia.

The new Pan Asia Logistics Centre consolidates PAL's Singapore headquarters and the East warehouse. It is scheduled for completion in the 2nd quarter of 2011 with the office being occupied end of May, followed by the commencement of the warehouse business.








Pan Asia Logistics Celebrates Groundbreaking

Pan Asia Logistics Singapore Pte Ltd officially broke ground at 10.30 a.m. today on a three-storey warehouse cum office building at Changi North, following an elaborate one-hour ceremony carried out by a 'fengshui' master.

The 200,000 sq. ft. building is designed to house a 160,000 sq. ft. warehouse space and 40,000 sq. ft. allocation for office usage. The new warehouse will be built with several different functional areas to cater to niche requirements such as air-conditioned storage, and medium to high security storage.

We are extremely excited to have arrived at this very important milestone in the development of our company", beamed a proud and happy Mr. Christian Bischoff, founder and Managing Director of Pan Asia Logistics. "We are all very excited and looking forward to finally having our own warehouse space and office, complete with after-hours facilities for the staff. The building will also have a large roof terrace and sky-garden.

The Design & Building Project awarded to Boustead Projects Pte Ltd is Pan Asia Logistics' biggest investment to date costing S$38 million, which includes a 30-year lease with JTC. The project is targeted for completion by the spring of 2011.
